Master of Brews
The first order of business that I want to address is a long overdue THANK YOU!!! This past year has presented us with countless challenges as we approached the goal of opening our doors to the public. While we felt confident with what we were going to present on opening day, we were all completely blown away by the overwhelming response that we received. None of this would be possible without all of you, the Boal CIty Community! Over the course of the first couple of months, we were able to identify areas where we could adapt to keep up with demand. It has been absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to see what our second year brings.
Tap handles for wholesale customers surrounding our Little Flat Fire Tower tote. The wood used for the tap handles was leftover stock from the walnut bar top in the taproom.
Go out and look for us on tap or in cans at:
Hotel State College - State College
Big Spring Spirits - Bellefonte
Boxer's Cafe - Huntingdon
Centre Hills Country Club - State College
The Field - State College
The Knickerbocker Tavern - Altoona
Pine Grove Hall - Pine Grove Mills
We are also working on a Pink Boots Society collaboration brew. Each year the Pink Boots Society releases a proprietary hop blend to help provide resources for females to get into the brewing industry. I have started to plan this with many of the females on our staff and look forward to what we come up with. The brew day will be a fun experience to get so many people involved and show them what it takes to make a beer at Boal City.
In other arenas we have continued to tweak and adjust some of our favorite recipes and are looking to fully brand a couple of our beers and keep them on tap on a regular basis. Look for more news on that late this Winter or early Spring.
I hope you have all have had a great New Year. We greatly appreciate all of your support and look forward to a lot of excitement and growth in 2024! I look forward to seeing you all back out at Boal City Brewing!!!
In the brewhouse we have a lot of projects that we are working on that we are excited to share with you all. Coming up in the semi near term we have a Nordic Farmhouse IPA, a Schwarzbier and an Imperial Stout coming out.
As mentioned earlier, once we were able to get our feet back on the ground, we were able to start putting our beers into cans to give people the opportunity to take them home and share them with friends near and far. As time has gone on we have been able to put most of the beers on tap into cans and are continuing to work hard to reach this goal.
At the same time, we have worked hard to build some relationships with other local restaurants and bars to carry our beers in an effort to cross promote each other and bring more of these great establishments into the Boal City Brewing Community.
